Good emails are hard to find.
Responsible for: concept creation + copy
I'm tough on emails. You have to have a great subject line to get me to open yours. (Emojis don’t work on me, sorry.) That said, I know how hard it is to craft a good one. Sam's Club's Friday Newsletters gave the copywriters more room to play with storytelling, from headlines to individual product features. Each email required close collaboration not just with the designer, but also merchants whose items we were highlighting.
Some of these only needed one round (camping FTW!); some had us going back to the drawing board. All were really fun to write (and read—because puns!).
Overall Performance: My mom loved them.
